Hundred Deities Torma - Lhagya Torchik, consecrated in Larung Gar
This exquisite torma, known as Lhagya Torchik, or “The One Torma that Represents a Hundred Wisdom Deities,” is crafted according to the tradition of Karma Chagme Rinpoche.
The top ornament is adorned with pearl garlands, symbolizing the precious and unbroken lineage of the sacred teachings. The longevity vase, lotus, and half-vajra represent the realization of Amitayus, Avalokiteshvara, and Guru Padmasambhava. The new moon symbolizes the dispelling of ignorance in all sentient beings, while the sun represents the complete teachings of sutra and tantra.
The upper portion of the torma, divided into three sides, signifies the Three Jewels and the Three Roots. The remaining parts represent the Dharma protectors, offering goddesses, wealth deities, and other retinues.
This torma is ideal for practitioners who may not have the time or means to prepare individual tormas for specific practices. It serves as a complete support for retreat, enabling one to accumulate merit and wisdom, purify obscurations, and accomplish both common and supreme accomplishment.
Designed and consecrated by the renowned Larung Gar monastic community, each torma has been blessed during the puja in the monastery.
