Sakya Divine Blue Water Incense Powder - Sakya Monastery, Tibet
Made strictly following the formula in “Divine Blue Water, a Contamination - Purifying Smoke Offering” by the Great Master Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche), more than 30 ingredients includes white and red sandalwood, Tibetan saffron, nutmeg and other precious aromatic and medicinal herbs. This incense helped the Tibetan King Trisong Detsen (742-797) recovered from his illness. Sakya lineage carries the unbroken oral lineage from Guru Rinpoche’s time until today, which makes them as one of the most authentic source of this special incense. This incense among with Sakya Sapoe Chenmo Incense are the two incenses from Sakya that famous for its power of healing and purification.
Sakya Monastery is the head monastery of the Sakya school, located in Tsang province in Central Tibet, founded by Khön Könchok Gyalpo in 1073. It is named after the white-coloured or pale (skya) earth (sa).
