Samye Chimpu Tibetan Incense Powder - Drakmar Keutsang Cave, Tibet 

Samye Chimpu is revered as the foremost residence and retreat site of Guru Padmasambhava in Tibet. It was here that the Mahaguru initiated his closest twenty five disciples into the Kagyé mandala and transmitted countless teachings and practices.

Among Guru Rinpoche’s many retreat sites, the caves of Chimpu are especially associated with his enlightened speech. At this sacred site, he entered retreat focusing on Hayagriva (Padma Heruka) for three months and three days. Chimpu is also one of the five holy places representing Guru Rinpoche’s body, speech, mind, qualities, and activities.

This incense powder contains cypress, Ilex xizangensis, and Artemisia wellbyi gathered from Chimpu, blended with other natural herbs from various sacred places, along with substances from the main torma of Rigzin Düpa and other Three Roots practices, which are renewed annually. It is blessed in Drakmar Keutsang Cave, the principal holy site of Chimpu. This incense is ideal for offerings, relaxation, purification, and for invoking the blessings of Guru Rinpoche and all the lineage masters of the Nyingma tradition.
