Tsogyal Lhatso Tibetan Incense Stick - Tsogyal Lhatso, Tibet

According to Tibetan Buddhist tradition, Khandro Yeshe Tsogyal was born to Palkyi Wangchuk of the Kharchen clan and Khandro Getso of Nup. Traditional accounts describe a lake appearing at her birth, later known as Tsogyal Lhatso, or “Tsogyal’s life-force lake.” The lake, surrounded by birch and willow in the lower Drak Valley, remains a place of pilgrimage.

This rare incense from Tsogyal Lhatso is crafted from a unique blend of over 30 precious herbs and spices, including white and red sandalwood, agarwood, saffron, gymnadenia conopsea, nutmeg, and Tibetan cardamom. It is further enriched with nectar pills, holy water, and blessed substances from Tsogyal Lhatso and sacred sites such as Drak Yangdzong. Handmade by nuns at the nearby nunnery, this incense is ideal for offerings, relaxation, and purification, invoking the blessings of Guru Rinpoche and the lineage masters of the Nyingma tradition.

About Khandro Yeshe Tsogyal:
An extraordinary child, even as an infant Yeshe Tsogyal bore all the signs of a wisdom dakini, awakened from the beginning. Then, as she came of age, her unsurpassed beauty was such that suitors even took up arms to vie for her hand in marriage. Only Dharma King Trisong Detsen was deemed fit for the betrothal, a match that opened the door to meeting her destined teacher, Guru Padmasambhava. This spiritual partnership unfolded as one of the greatest in the history of great saints, for it led to the Dharma’s firm establishment in the hearts of the Tibetan people, and in the landscape of Tibet itself. Tsogyal Lhatso, then, marks the beginning of this incredible journey, for it was from these blessed waters that a dakini was born who would fulfill the Mahaguru’s activity, allowing it to shine forth and bless countless generations to come.
