According to Tibetan Buddhist tradition, this formula is associated with Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava and his teachings in Tibet. Ingredients include nutmeg, true cardamom, frankincense, sandalwood, Tibetan saffron, gymnadenia, and other aromatic woods and herbs traditionally used in Tibetan incense.

This incense from central Tibet has a distinctive herbal fragrance suited to offerings, meditation, and traditional purification rituals.
