Sakya Sapoe Chenmo Incense Sticks — Tibet

Made at Sakya Monastery following a recipe attributed to Jetsün Drakpa Gyaltsen (1147–1216), the third of the five Sakya patriarchs and author of the Tibetan medical text ‘King’s Treasury.’ The blend contains more than 30 herbs, including Tibetan saffron.

Traditionally used by successive Sakya Trizins for offerings and purification rituals. Also available as incense cones.

Sakya Monastery, founded by Khön Könchok Gyalpo in 1073 in Tsang, central Tibet, is the head monastery of the Sakya school. Its name refers to the region's pale earth.
