This pendant depicts the nine-headed scorpion associated with Guru Drakpo, a wrathful manifestation of Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava. In Tibetan Buddhist tradition, the scorpion symbolizes strength, transformation, and protection from obstacles.

The back is carved with Guru Rinpoche’s seed syllable Hung, a vajra, and a phurba. Consecrated by monks at Yachen Gar, the pendant may be worn, carried, or used as a support for devotional practice. Its protective associations express religious beliefs, not a guarantee against harm.

Yachen Gar, also known as Yachen Orgyen Samten Choling, was founded by Akhyuk Rinpoche in 1980.
