The Phurba, known in Sanskrit as Kilaya, is a ritual dagger with a pointed three-edged blade, similar to that wielded by the deity Vajrakilaya. Vajrakilaya embodies the enlightened activity of all buddhas and is revered for his potent ability to remove obstacles, dispel forces opposed to compassion, and purify spiritual pollution prevalent in our time.

Crafted and commissioned by Yachen Gar in Kham, this Phurba is intricately detailed according to Buddhist tantra. It can be worn as a pendant, carried for protection in a handbag, or used as a supportive tool by practitioners.

Yachen Gar, also known as Yachen Orgyen Samten Choling, was founded by Akhyuk Rinpoche in 1980. With over 10,000 Sangha members, it is one of the largest gatherings of nuns and monks in the world.
